Street Smart Kidz was started 3 years
ago, with a goal to give kids the tools to be
able to think their way through dangerous
situations. To teach our kids a " safety
first" mind set in their daily lives, and to
be able to give their parents the resources to
achieve this goal.
With this in mind, Street Smart Kidz consulted with
many experts on this topic, including the
RCMP, CHP and countless Medical and
Government agencies. After more than a year of
research, our program was born.
Our program has evolved from teaching kids these
skills in a
classroom setting, 4 kids at
a time, to giving away FREE Safety
Booklets for parents and kids to read at home, to
the format you see before you, where you can
read and download everything you need. For
FREE!

Street Smart
Kidz started as a 3 hour free course for kids from 8
years old to 14 years old

438 kids went through
the Street Smart Kidz classroom at no charge.

Because of popular
demand we started a waiting list. Then the
waiting list became too long, and we were up to a
six month waiting time.

We then decided to
create a Safety Booklet to give to parents so they
could teach the course to their children at home,
and a surprising thing happened, we started to
receive many compliments and feedback from parents
who felt they were opening up the communication
lines with their children, by talking with them
about these topics.

As of this year over
12,000 Booklets have been mailed or given to
parents.

The demand for the free
Safety Booklets has out stripped our resources,
because of the printing and mailing costs, we
couldn't fund or raise enough money to supply our
demand.

Now we were able to
offer the Safety Booklet on-line, so parents and
kids can read and/or download any page, anytime free
of charge.

All this has been done
by the support of local business, artist auctions
and our latest venture the 1st Street Smart Kidz
Online Art Show 2008. It is with deep
gratitude and honour that we thank all of the of the
persons who supported and continue to support our
booklet distributing efforts.

information is online we are still distributing
booklets to those who do not have internet access.
