Predator Update

Hello parents. I'd like to talk to you about a serious new trend Law Enforcement Officers and Child Safety experts have been watching for the last few months, and you should be aware of it.

It seems the Predators are getting smarter, changing tactics, getting more aggressive and becoming more brazen in their attempts to grab our children. Now I don't want to set off alarms or create a panic, because that's not going to accomplish anything.

This is just a update for you, as a parent, to remember we can never let down our guard and we MUST continuously talk to our children to educate them and keep them safe.

Remember 10 years ago, when the Predators started making "Block Parent" signs, and posting them in their windows trolling for innocent victims? Now we have a story that's even more audacious.

A few days ago, we had a adult try, and succeed in convincing a young teenager that he was the teenagers long, lost father, suddenly returned to become part of his life. All of this happened at a local convenience store where the teenager went to purchase a snack. Fortunately a very intelligent clerk noticed what was going on, and made the right decision to call the RCMP, when he noticed the teenager leaving with the man. The RCMP picked them both up within two minutes.

The Predator isn't related in any way.

The mother has never seen him before.

The reason I wanted to share this true story with you, is to remind you, myself and all of the Street Smart Kidz friends that we don't need to live in fear, but we do need to remain forever vigilant!

Talk with your kids!

Steven
