As school is ending in the next few weeks, it's time to decide what our kid's will be doing for the summer. Please remember to include the following, while you are making your decisions.

1. Whether it's daycare, summer camp, instructional school's or a babysitter, make sure they have all of your child's medical information, such as allergies, family Doctors name and phone number etc...

2. Make sure you have a copy of caregiver's pick up and drop off policies, and stress the point, if your not picking them up, then the person who does must know the "code word" - remind your child of this point

3. Conduct interviews and check their references - at least two - for every program or baby sitter your child will be in contact with

4. Make sure who ever has your child, can contact at least one parent at all times or/and has emergence alternate contact information

5. Sit down with your kids, and remind them of the "safe" play rules, such as: don't dive head first unless you know how deep the water is, always wear your bike helmet, cross the road at the cross walks etc...
